1 semester in Grenoble + 1 semester in your university within the framework of the ERASMUS exchange programme

1 semester in Grenoble + 1 semester on an industrial placement in a company or a research laboratory

French Language and Civilisation
In September 2007, the Computer Networks and Telecommunications department at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Grenoble, Université Joseph Fourier , will open an international class as part of its Professional Bachelor[1]’s Degree in Computer Networks and Telecommunications specialising in Wireless Networks and Security, previously set up in September 2005.
In this class all courses will be taught in English[2]. An introductory course in the French language and civilisation will be included.This class will be open on an international basis to:
q students who have successfully completed the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, in the field of Computer Networks and Telecommunications, or in a relevant field: e.g. Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, with some experience in computer networks
q students who wish to further their knowledge and skills in computer networks, telecommunications, and particularly those interested in wireless networks, mobile telecommunication and their security.The students will be able to enrol either for the complete year or for one semester.
q students who have an English proficiency equivalent to: TOEFL 520 or TOEIC 700 or IELTS 5.5 or BULATS 70.
Two possibilities are on offer:
- as an ERASMUS exchange student
- as a fully enrolled student in the Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, giving the possibility to students to obtain the Grenoble Professional Bachelor’s degree (a one year course). The total cost of the course is 6000 €uro. Registration fees for the course are approximately 400 € including French Social Security contributions for one year. The remainder of the cost will be funded directly by the French Higher Education Department.
The course includes a certain amount of classes in theoretical topics but focuses on practical laboratory work. It is also possible for students to validate the semester in the part of the course entitled Fundamentals of Wireless Lans and/or CCNA (Cisco-Certified Network Associate)
